What's better than that? Its the perfect time of year for smoothies. And its also a great way to get your kids to eat fruits and veggies without complaint.
So Naima had been feeling a little ill. She was battling an ear infection and wasn't much for eating. So I wanted to make sure she was at least getting some nutrients.
So in addition to vitamins and probiotics (and the mullein-garlic ear oil), I decided a green smoothie was perfect. I used a strawberry yogurt (thats all we had in the house), organic frozen strawberries, mangoes, and blueberries, fresh organic kale, and some wildflower honey. I also added some almond milk to help smooth out the texture.
The key is to let her help make it, therefore she is more inclined to drink it. ;-)
It was yummy, if I do say so myself.
